SOUTH Coast event organisers are now able to submit expressions of interest to obtain funding under the NSW government’s 2014 Regional Flagship Events Program.
The program is designed to nurture the growth of events in regional areas.
Under the Regional Flagship Events Program, one-year grants of $10,000 or grants of $20,000 each year for three years are provided to successful campaigns and activities to support the marketing of events.
There are two stages to the Regional Flagship Events Program.
The first is the Expression of Interest stage, which opened last Thursday and will close on Wednesday, October 2.
Regional events that are successful in stage one will then be invited to submit full applications, which will be assessed by an independent panel in conjunction with Destination NSW.
