AN 89-year-old Cambewarra man crashed his car into the Green Olive Cafe in Main Arcade Nowra on Wednesday.
The man had reversed out of the Berry Street Seed and Produce store and backed into a wall.
The car then surged forward along Egans Lane, narrowly missing Grants Seafood before ploughing into the brick wall on the opposite side of the road, damaging a roller door.
The man was taken to Shoalhaven District Hospital by ambulance suffering minor chest injuries and cuts.
The Green Olive Cafe employee Laura Hsu said she heard a noise outside and thought it was most probably just “hoons” and then the car crashed into the brick wall.
“The whole arcade filled with smoke it was incredible,” she said.
“It was so thick, we had to get out through the Junction Street end of the arcade.
