EXCLUSIVE Sydney school Scots College has announced a multimillion dollar expansion in the Shoalhaven.
Scots College is based at Bellevue Hill in Sydney but has an annexe at Kangaroo Valley, called Glengarry.
It has announced plans for a $6.45 million expansion of its Shoalhaven operations with the development of a campus near the intersection of Culburra and Coonemia roads, west of Culburra Beach.
In a 35-page report presented to Shoalhaven City Council the school said the site has been given to the Presbyterian Church by the Shoalhaven’s largest private landowner Warren Halloran.
The proposed centre is located on the site of a two-storey dwelling and a large bell tower, and would have dormitory accommodation and educational facilities for 100 students and 10 teachers.
There will also be a kitchen, dining area, learning spaces, associated car parking and infrastructure.
The complex has been designed by local architect Col Irwin of i architecure.
In the short to medium term the Woollumboola campus would be used by students for about 35 per cent of the school term.
A final decision on the application will be made by the state government’s Joint Regional Planning Panel.
