Men will be getting to the heart of what it means to be a man in Berry this weekend.
The fourth annual Men’s Wellbeing, Man Alive South Coast event will be held at the Berry Sport and Recreational Centre from Friday, September 13 to Sunday 15.
For the past three years the non-profit event was attended by about 60 local men.
Man Alive is for men from any walk of life to be together for a weekend of enrichment and empowerment.
Participants can be involved at their own pace and to a level they are comfortable with.
There is no agenda of religion, politics or sexuality.
Organising committee member Peter Pigott said the gathering was about creating a space where men felt safe to be themselves and have access to learning and experiences that enable expression and exploration.
“It is ultimately about fostering healthy relationships, families and communities,” he said.
“For some it will be about finding an edge, for others, just a nourishing time away from the day to day.”
Throughout Australia and internationally the men’s gathering has become an enduring and very important forum where men from a wide range of backgrounds come together to connect, explore and have fun in a non-threatening, non-judgemental and safe environment.
