A STUDY into the effects of flooding at Greenwell Point is considering different flood mitigation measures, including a levee around the Greenwell Point waterfront.
Shoalhaven City Council wants input from local residents as part of its Greenwell Point Floodplain Risk Management Options Feasibility Study.
Director of Planning and Development Services Tim Fletcher said the study would assess flood mitigation measures.
“These mitigation measures include a possible levee around the Greenwell Point waterfront, the raising of Greenwell Point Road to Nowra to provide higher access during a flood event and changes to planning controls or implementation of house raising strategies and other potential flood relief measures.”
