SHOALHAVEN residents are being encouraged to save money on their power bills and help the environment by getting rid of their second unwanted, working upright freezers and fridges.
The NSW government’s Fridge Buyback scheme will make a special run on Thursday, October 17 to collect unwanted working upright freezers and fridges from selected towns and villages throughout the area.
Areas to be included in the upcoming special fridge run are: Callala Bay, Huskisson, Jervis Bay, St Georges Basin, Milton, Mollymook, Ulladulla, Burrill Lake and Dolphin Point.
The Fridge Buyback program provides householders with a $35 rebate for second working fridges or upright freezers collected from their home, if fewer than six steps are involved in the removal.
