THE two men charged with the assault of North Nowra man Francois Beugels have been remanded in custody until October 8.
Joshua Chamberlain, 19, of McKay Street Nowra and Wade Malcolm Dunley, 38 of Bunberra Street, Bomaderry both face five charges including aggravated assault with intent to rob with wounding; aggravated assault with intent to rob with actual bodily harm; reckless wounding; affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company.
The two were arrested on Thursday evening by Nowra Police and remanded in custody.
Chamberlain, dressed in a black T-shirt and with unkempt hair, appeared in Nowra Local Court this Friday, while Dunley failed to appear.
Bail was not applied for by solicitor Simone Foggo, of Douglass and Ford Criminal Law Solicitors, who acted for both defendants, and was formally refused by Magistrate Dr Gabrielle Fleming.
They will both face Nowra Local Court on October 8.
