South Coast AFL Qualifying Final
Kiama Power 16.13(109)
Wollongong Bulldogs 11.11(77)
KIAMA Power became the first team to progress to the South Coast AFL grand final, defeating the second-placed Wollongong Bulldogs by 32-points in the qualifying final.
The Bulldogs may well have gone in with a psychological edge after toppling Kiama in the final round of regular competition last week, but it counted for little on the day.
Kiama did most of the damage in the first and final quarter, with five majors in each, to take control of the match.
Ben Williams was the star for Kiama, with five goals, while Andrew Boatfield was the next best with three.
The win now puts Kiama straight through to the grand final in two weeks time, while the Bulldogs will get a second chance in the preliminary final against the Bomaderry Tigers at Bargo Sports Ground next weekend.
