NATURE is resilient.
Back in February large swathes of the area were decimated when a number of tornadoes ripped through the Shoalhaven.
Kiama, Terara, Back Forest and Jaspers Brush bore the brunt of the wild winds.
So too did a section of bushland on Gerroa Road adjacent to Seven Mile Beach.
The tornadoes made land about halfway down the coastal road and stripped everything in its path.
The area looked like a battlefield, with large trees sheared off and broken and scattered branches everywhere.
Driving through the area, having passed sections of dense bushland, it was eerie coming upon a devoid area.
Six months on and the bush is bouncing back as you can see by the photographs below, provided by Anne-Louise O’Connor.
