LOCAL motorists can expect to encounter night work as part of the upgrade of the Princes Highway at South Nowra.
Work will be carried out on Thursday and Friday from 6pm to 5am to minimise the impact on motorists.
Roads and Maritime Services said Thursday night’s work woukd involve the installation of a light pole at the new roundabout at Hillcrest Avenue.
Traffic in all directions will be stopped for around five minutes at 9pm while the pole is lifted into place.
Vegetation work will be carried out on Friday night on the northbound shoulder of the Princes Highway between Warra Warra and BTU roads.
This section of the highway will be reduced to one lane during work.
Traffic control will be in place on both nights to guide motorists through the work site and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will apply.
Wet weather may change times and dates.
Every effort will be made to minimise noise associated with the work.
Motorists are advised to plan their journey, allow extra travel time and obey all signs.
