THE Voice grand finalist, Kangaroo Valley’s Danny Ross, will headline the Shoalhaven River Festival concert.
The singing sensation will be one of the drawcards for what is planned to be a huge day of activities on Saturday, October 26, as the festival makes a return to Nowra.
Event organiser and member of the Shoalhaven Tourism Board, Lynn Locke was thrilled with the addition of Danny Ross to the festival’s entertainment line-up.
“Having someone like Danny performing at the concert is huge,” she said.
“It will be fantastic to have one of the area’s own rising superstars headline the concert on the river.
“Preparations are shaping up well for the overall event.”
Ross was one of the stars of this year’s season of The Voice, finishing behind eventual winner Harrison Craig, but he established a mountain of followers with his laidback, mysterious and haunting performances.
His performances throughout the show that were available on iTunes and his recently released CD, As The Crow Flies, have led to a huge following for the Valley voice.
Under coach Joel Madden he burst onto the show with a number of electrifying performances covering works from Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, Steve Miller Band, Lenny Kravitz, Imagine Dragon and the legendary Bob Dylan.
His popularity surged after his moving performance of Neil Young’s Old Man, which he dedicated to his late father.
