THREE Shoalhaven infrastructure projects are shortlisted for a share of the the Restart NSW Illawarra Infrastructure Fund.
Noah’s Shoalhaven, the family support centre for children with a disability, South Nowra road works and a multi-level car park for the Nowra CBD were selected to move to the detailed application stage.
The $100 million Restart NSW Illawarra Infrastructure Fund was established by the NSW government to help fund infrastructure projects in the region.
Items submitted were scrutinised by an assessment panel, which included representatives from Infrastructure NSW, NSW Treasury, NSW Office of Finance and three community representatives.
The group considered community feedback and a number of strong applications before deciding what could go forward to the detailed application stage.
Once detailed applications for the projects are submitted, community views will be sought.
Infrastructure NSW will hold a public forum in Shoalhaven and the Illawarra in August and early September. Successful projects will be announced later this year.
