Southern Branch kicked off its 2013 football year with a pre-season launch at the South Nowra grounds on Saturday.
Coaches and managers welcomed throngs of excited youngsters and their families to the junior section of the season launch on Saturday afternoon, held prior to the senior launch and registration event that evening.
Football Federation Australia head of coaching and development Norm Boardman was guest speaker at the event and took time out to address the players and coach where he shared his words of wisdom.
Southern Branch is excited about the Football NSW season ahead and has appointed the services of Lloyd Harrison Entertain-ment Group to take control of its media, public relations and events side of the business. Jim Stefan a former newspaper and magazine publisher will also head the club’s commercial and marketing division ensuring Southern Branch maintains its strong ties with the local community.
“Developing our youth players’ future is on the top of our to do list,” Stefan said.
Committee member Nina Cheyne welcomed the appointment of Stefan.
“With Jim Stefan and his team on board we are extremely confident that all of our sponsors will be looked after, she said.
“It’s a win-win situation for both parties involved.
“Jim and wife Rebecca are also corporate partners to the Western Sydney Wanderers FC so they understand what our sponsors need.”
The Football NSW season kicks off for Southern Branch on Saturday, April 6.
