One of the cars involved in this afternoon's accident near Culburra Beach.
THE ambulance rescue helicopter from Albion Park has been called to a two-car accident on Culburra Beach Road near the intersection of Coonemia Road.
Emergency crews were called to the accident, which was discovered by ambulance crews, near Coonemia Road just after 3pm.
The helicopter landed in a nearby paddock and paramedics treated a person who was trapped in one of the vehicles.
Another person involved in the accident was released and was being treated by ambulance officers.
One lane of the road was blocked as emergency crews worked to free the injured person, with traffic diversions in place.
Police and Rural Fire Service crews have also attended the scene.
