WITH some apprehension Huskisson resident Joy Banks opened her electricity bill this week.
Mrs Banks got the shock of her life last week when she opened for bill from Origin Energy asking her to pay $29,822.74.
She knew it had to be a mistake but it still was an anxious day as she called her power supplier seeking answers.
Two conversations later the mistake was corrected.
When Mrs Banks opened her new bill this week she took a deep breath, ripped open the envelope, looked at her bill and smiled when she read it was for $25.44.
There was a letter of apology from Origin Energy, explaining that the company does everything in its power to avoid sending out incorrect bills but sometimes system faults occur.
Throughout the whole experience, Mrs Banks kept her sense of humour and had a few laughs at her own expense.
She said her attitude towards life reflected her Christian name.
