AN amnesty was announced today (Tuesday) allowing line fishing from ocean beaches and headlands I sanctuary zones outside Jervis Bay Marine Park.
Fisheries and marine arks officers have been instructed not to enforce restrictions that ban recreational line fishing in sanctuary zones on ocean beaches and headlands until new threat and risk assessments have been done.
The amnesty does not include waters inside Jervis Bay, or around islands such as Bowen Island.
