EVERY school morning Lorraine Jenkinson does not have to look too far to see why her passion for education remains so strong.
All she has to do is watch the students arriving at Sussex Inlet Public School.
The newly appointed principal sees enthusiasm for learning almost written on the faces of her students.
“I want to encourage their education,” said Mrs Jenkinson.
“I want to help the students be the best person they can.”
She said it was the children that made her love her role as teacher and principal for the past 23 years.
Before her appointment at Sussex Inlet this year, Mrs Jenkinson spent many years at various Shoalhaven public schools.
She taught at Nowra East, North Nowra and more recently was non-teaching princicpal at Milton Public School.
Weeks into her new appointment, Mrs Jenkinson had settled in well to her new surrounds.
“I am loving it,” she said.
Mrs Jenkinson loves how the school is an important part of village life.
She replaced former principal Chris McLean.
