New principals take the helm

AS soon as Kem Rakiposki walked though through the gates at Shoalhaven High School he knew it was a place he wanted to work in.

Mr Rakiposki is the new principal at Shoalhaven High and he replaced John Sweat who retired last year.

It’s also Mr Rakiposki first appointment as principal.

“It’s a great school with great staff and fantastic kids,” he said.

Mr Rakiposki comes to Shoalhaven High after being the deputy and relieving principal at Corrimal High for 18 months.

He wants to build on the great work done by previous principals.

Looking after the welfare and wellbeing of his students are Mr Rakiposki’s particular passions.

He has been an educator for more than 20 years.

“My passion for education remains high,” he said.

Mr Rakiposki said there were many wonderful community programs at the school.
