Thank you to the angels in orange

SHOALHAVEN Mayor Joanna Gash has thanked the SES for its efforts during the recent Shoalhaven wind storm.

SES volunteers worked tirelessly in conjunction with council over the last week to clean up debris and other storm related damage across the city.

“The SES has a great working relationship with council and performs an amazing role helping the local community in times of crisis,” she said.

“I’ve again been impressed by the level of professionalism and commitment shown by SES volunteers as they helped restore our community following the storm.

“The SES joined council staff in being among the first on the ground and helping those residents whose properties were most affected by the strong winds.

“It is extremely pleasing to see both organisations working side by side to help the local community in their time of need.

“I commend the SES on their fantastic work during this trying period.”
