I UNDERSTAND this time of year we are thinking more about Easter eggs than Christmas presents and it has been remiss of me not contacting you sooner. But, as we know, life can get in the way of life.
I would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere thanks to my rescuer.
Please let me explain. At around 5am on Christmas Eve 2012, after lining up with all the other patrons from around 4.30am for opening time, I found myself caught short by $2 when I finally reached the cash register of the local seafood establishment.
To save me lining up again with the other hundred or so customers in order for the shop assistant to remove some of my “prawns” so I could afford what I had, an extremely kind and generous lady offered me the $2 difference.
I was speechless and those who know me would say that is no mean feat. As I was lost for words and extremely humbled I did not get my “lady in shining armour’s” details.
So here is a big thanks to that lady and her random act of kindness. There really are more kind people in the world than we know and it seems there are a good lot right here in and around Nowra. Regards and thanks.
L. Elliott,
Nowra.
