POLICE are investigating a suspicious fire which broke out in a house in Antares Close at East Nowra on Wednesday morning.
Two appliances from the Fire and Rescue NSW Nowra brigade were called to the home just after 8.15am.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus searched the home but found no occupants and soon had the blaze under control before it could engulf the rest of the house.
Nowra brigade station officer Mick Adams said firefighters found two blazes, one in the kitchen and one in a lounge room, which were both quickly extinguished.
The home suffered fire and smoke damage.
