SHOALHAVEN Heads Bushido Judo Club member, dual Australian champion and Oceania champion, Tinka Easton, has come away with another title to her name.
The Berry juggernaut won a gold medal in the cadet girls division at the ACT International Judo Championships held in Canberra last weekend.
The dynamic under 52 kilogram 16 year-old takes all comers from all over Australia and overseas to win these highly competitive division, the cadet girls. It was only two weeks ago that she won the gold medal at the Olympic Youth Judo Championships in the cadet girls division. In the ACT, Easton stepped up into a higher category, the young women’s division, and finished third.
She had previously beaten the eventual winner in the cadet division.
The other Bushido member Alicia Congram unfortunately succumbed to an injury that she received at the Olympic Youth Judo Championships, where she won a bronze medal.
She had to pull out of the ACT competition.
