Games heat up for Culburra

WITH the Culburra touch finals just around the corner, there were some interesting results in last week’s games.

In A grade, Jimi’s Plumbing beat Raine and Horne close to the final bell 5-4, making it an entertaining game for spectators. We Wont Kwitt confirmed favouritism for the A grade competition with a comprehensive win over Culburra Pharmacy 13-5.

In A reserve, Bob and Luke Hill weaved some magic so Culburra Surf School beat The Mudcrabs 9-6 in a thriller. The teachers (The Tigers) gave the students (Blackmagic) a lesson in playing until the final whistle, beating them 9-7.

In B grade, Culburra Plumbing had a tight, well-fought victory over Bayside Mortgages 10-7.

The Freaks was too quick for the Voltarens to beat them 11-3, cementing its favouritism for B grade.

In B reserve, Team Supreme only had three players so forfeited to RPM.

Culburra Concreting reversed last week’s result against Currarong Arts and Crafts with a 15-5 win.

In C grade, Mcguires Smash and Local Pools showed why it was on top of the C grade table with a hard-fought 9-all draw. 

Family Ties’ blend of youth and experience beat the experienced Unicorn 10-7.

In C reserve, Benchwarmers confirmed why it was the favourite for the C reserve with a comprehensive win over Cummo’s 17-9. 

Easybeats, unlike its name suggests, beat The Point Special 9-5.
