NOWRA police are seeking information about a stolen utility recovered from the Shoalhaven River on Friday morning.
Sometime between 5pm last Thursday and the early hours of Friday a home in Karowa Street, Bomaderry was broken into, ransacked and a blue Ford utility stolen.
At around 1am Friday police received a call saying a vehicle was seen being driven into the Shoalhaven River at Paringa Park, near the Shoalhaven Rowing Club.
A person was later seen leaving the area on foot.
Police and ambulance rescue paramedics conducted a search of the river using floodlights but were unable to see anything in the murky water.
A second search of the river by police divers later in the day revealed the ute, which was recovered by tow truck operators.
Nowra police have urged anyone with information about the car or the break-in to contact them on 4421 9699 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
