JUST lately, I have noticed an increase of motorised pushbikes tearing down our streets and screaming around corners, some doing about 50-60km/h.
I fear that if one of these people hits a pothole or something else they would be very badly injured – no helmets or proper footwear to be seen either.
It’s bad enough when someone falls off an ordinary pushbike, let alone a motorised one. These bikes are not registered to ride on a road, so why are they allowed?
The people riding them are not getting any exercise, as in pedalling a pushbike and the motorised versions are very noisy. Something needs to be done now before someone is badly hurt or dies.
