SHOALHAVEN Little Athletics Centre was crowned the Mid South Coast Grand Prix champions at the close of the carnival last Sunday.
Congratulations to all our athletes who made this possible for our club by competing at the carnivals and in those events that counted.
The athlete individual grand prix champions were also announced and the trophies will be presented at a later date.
The club’s annual gala day was held last Sunday with 56 athletes attending on the day.
It was run in a friendly non-competitive environment with the emphasis on having fun.
The day went smoothly and finished by 2pm, with all athletes enjoying the day, including those few from Sydney clubs who travelled to enjoy the experience of a country carnival.
The day concluded with several rounds of mixed relays, including parents who also joined in on the fun.
It was a delightful end to a great day.
Our club championships will continue each week until all three rotations have been completed. The weekly point score will continue until the end of the season.
We would like to wish the very best to all 48 athletes who will travel to Wagga Wagga for regional championships
this weekend.
We are confident that each of you will do your best and have good sportsmanship ethics.
Shoalhaven will have cabanas in Wagga Wagga for all our athletes and their
families for weather protection and group camaraderie.
