Expect delays on Moss Vale Road

MOTORISTS travelling through Kangaroo Valley over the next few weeks can expect more delays with the resumption of road maintenance work on Moss Vale Road.

Roads and Maritime Services started the work in November but suspended it over Christmas to minimise the impact on local traffic.

The road surface west of Walkers Lane is to be removed and a gravel surface laid until the road is resealed in March.

Crews will also remove vegetation from drains along Moss Vale Road.

The work is to improve road safety, extend the life of the road and reduce future maintenance costs.

The road will be reduced to one lane during the work with delays of up to 15 minutes on weekdays between 7am and 5pm.

Portable traffic lights will direct traffic through the work site day and night for the next eight weeks and a roadwork speed limit of 40km/h will apply during work hours.

Motorists are advised to plan their journey and to allow extra travel time.
