THE Navy in Black and White, a collection of cartoons by John Edwards and Roy Richards will be launched today.
The late Mr Edwards and Mr Richards were based at HMAS Albatross during their naval careers and were both keen sketchers and cartoonists.
In fact Mr Edwards became known for his cartoons in the naval magazine Slipstream and his skills as the only sign writer in the then fledgling Fleet Air Arm.
Backed by the NSW Fleet Air Arm Association, the Wilson Family and Australian Defence Credit Union, the launch will be staged at the Fleet Air Arm Museum art gallery today.
