A NOWRA man who was drunk and disqualified from driving when he drove his car into a tree has been ordered to perform 220 hours of community service.
In Nowra Local Court, Leon John Colliss, 24, of Clipper Road, was also disqualified from driving for a further two years.
Colliss had lost his licence for nine months for drink driving just a week earlier. Then he drove his Holden Rodeo into a tree at the intersection of Arthur and Andrew streets in Worrigee at 7.35pm on August 13.
He was arrested and taken to Nowra Police Station where his breath analysis gave a .174 reading.
Colliss told police he had been drinking bourbon and cola at home since midday.
