Garrattys’ supreme results in dairy

THE Garratty family certainly had a great day in the dairy section of this year’s Nowra Show, taking out all the major awards in the holstein section.

Proud father Alan and his daughters Melissa and Kyleigh, from the Glenalbus Stud at Bolong, swept all before them taking out junior and senior champion cows, supreme champion cow, as well as the interbreed pen of three.

The Glenalbus Stud also took out most successful exhibitor and most successful breeder in the holstein section as well as the overall most successful exhibitor.

Melissa led Glenalbus Dundee Jory to a win in the junior champion, taking out the memorial award named after her late grandfather Furn Garratty and was presented with the championship ribbon by her grandmother Bess Garratty.

Kyleigh went one better, leading Glenalbus Integrity Jocelyn to both the Senior Holstein Champion and the overall Supreme Champion Dairy Cow.

Alan also teamed up with his daughters to take out the Unicorn Cheese Interbreed Supreme Pen of Three.
