SHOALHAVEN City Council has started major road works at Hanigans Lane, Bolong.
The project will see rehabilitation and widening works on more than 800 metres of roadway, finishing just past the Edwards Avenue intersection.
As part of the works, Hanigans Lane intersection at Edwards Avenue is expected to be closed for two days in late February while specialist stabilisation equipment is used.
These dates will be confirmed closer to time depending on availability of equipment.
A reduced speed limit is currently in place throughout Hanigans Lane with traffic controllers on site during work hours.
Council has asked the local community to ensure that both the directions of site signs and traffic controllers are followed during this period.
The works are expected to be completed by April – weather permitting.
