BOLONG Road south of the Coolangatta Estate is closed after a single car accident around 9.20 this morning.
The vehicle was travelling in a southerly direction when it left the roadway and slammed into a large silky oak tree on the edge of the roadway.
The 19-year-old female driver was trapped following the collision before being released by emergency services and was transported to Shoalhaven District Hospital with serious injuries.
Crime Scene Officers are investigating the accident.
Traffic diversions are currently in place with traffic heading north on Bolong Road being diverted via Back Forest Road and Coolangatta Road.
