Police hope crime scene photo will jog memories

DETECTIVES from Nowra have released a crime scene photo after appealing for information about a shooting at a house in East Nowra and a car crash in December.

Bullets were fired into a house in McKay Street just prior to 11.40pm on Saturday, December 29, 2012.

No one was injured.

Police established a crime scene around the property before forensic specialists examined the area.

Detectives following a number of leads have now discovered two men were seen running from the area a short time after the shooting.

They are appealing for anyone who may have seen the two men fleeing the area, or who know their identities to contact police.

Detectives are also investigating a crash that occurred in McKay Street a short time before the shooting.

The incident involved a white Holden Commodore crashing into a power pole.

Occupants of the car had left the scene before police arrived.

Investigators believe the crash may be linked to the shooting.

Anyone with information about either incident should phone Nowra Police on 44219699 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
