BOMADERRY’S batsmen Greg Wellington (50), Dan Roth (40 n.o) and Clayton Muller (33) have combined to post a strong 218 runs against Ulludulla United. Bomaderry declared after 43.1 overs and sent Ulladulla in to bat.
Despite the best efforts of Julias Machado (32), Ulladulla could only make 45 runs in its first innings. This led to some impressive bowling figures for Anthony Johnston, who took four wickets for one run.
Over at Berry Sporting Complex, Berry-Shoalhaven Heads looks to be in a strong position after posting 209 runs in the first day of its match against Bay and Basin. Michael Haddon (71) top scored and was backed up by Peter O’Keeffe (32) and Connor Edenden (29). Braedon Shears (4/50) and Jamie Ryan (3/48) were exceptional with the ball for Basin.
Over at Hayden Drexel Oval, North Nowra-Cambewarra batsmen struggled to stay at the crease to make 101 runs against Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens. Exceptional bowling from Dean Trost (3/6) and Matt Smit (3/19) kept the Norths batsmen on their toes.
