Lans brings Berry over the line

BERRY-Shoalhaven Heads prevailed over Bomaderry in a tough encounter at the Bomaderry Sports Complex.

Sent into bat Berry made a solid 7/110.

Ben Lans was the best of the Berry batsmen top scoring with 19. He had good support from Charlie Howard (11) and Angus Templeton (9).

Dom Mirabito took the bowling honours for Bomaderry with 1/6, with Riley Matthews (1/12) and Braden Manwarring (1/15) troubling the Berry batsmen.

Bomaderrys top order batted strongly and after 15 overs the game was evenly poised. However some accurate bowling from Jack Hinkley (2/6) and Saxon Hilkemeijer (1/7) saw the Magpies home.

Ben Rowlands top scored for Bomaderry with 17, Jack Lonesborough made 11 and Emilia Matthews capped a great all round game with nine runs.

Sweet victory for Troy

NORTH Nowra-Cambewarra Blues’ Troy Sweet has taken five wickets in his teams win over Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemen on Saturday.

Norths had a strong 102 run win with some hard hitters leading the run tally.

Toby Huard paved the way for an easy win for Norths, hitting 30 runs. He was well supported by Troy Sweet (22) and Jack Walsh (19).

The Ex-Servo bowlers did their best against the strong Norths outfit, with Matthew Spinks (2/20), Luke Jones (0/7) and Kyden Booth (0/11) producing some good figures.

Ex-Servos’ Darcy Hopkins (12), Luke Jones (10) and Kyden Booth (8) were the best with the bat for their team, but the great bowling of Troy Sweet (5/8), Alexander Jelavic (2/10) and Jack Sweet (1/4)  was too much for Ex-Servos.

Toby Huard shone in the field for Norths, taking three runouts.
