Council conducts survey on arts centre

A SURVEY which aims to find out what people think of the Shoalhaven City Arts Centre will help council make plans for its future.

Mayor Joanna Gash is encouraging local residents to complete the survey on council’s website.

The survey results will be used to form the Shoalhaven Arts Centre Strategic Plan 2020.

Council has engaged specialist consultancy firm, The Shiny Shiny World, to help construct the plan by engaging with councillors, local residents and arts practitioners in the coming weeks.

Mrs Gash said the survey would help in providing council with enough information to set the initial direction of the plan.

“Shoalhaven City has a rich, ongoing history of artistic endeavour and culture dating back to the area’s original inhabitants,” said Cr Gash.

“Council is developing the Shoalhaven Arts Centre Strategic Plan 2020 to ensure the arts centre continues to both grow with the community and cater to the area’s growing needs moving forward.”

The Shoalhaven Arts Centre Strategic Plan 2020 survey can be found at www.shoalhaven.nsw .gov.au until Friday, February 8.
