FIVE drink-drivers will be off the road for extended periods following their appearance in Nowra Local Court.
Gavin John Woolmer, 38, of Salisbury Drive, Nowra, was disqualified from driving for 18 months, fined $1600 and given an 18-month good behaviour bond.
Woolmer gave a .096 reading after he was stopped for a random breath test on Comerong Street, Greenwell Point at 5.45pm on October 20.
He told police he had drunk four to five schooners of beer and bourbon and cola at the Greenwell Point Hotel between 11.30am and 5pm.
Edward John Bromage, 49, of Alverstoke Close, Bomaderry was disqualified for eight months and fined $1000 as well as $1192 for being in an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
Bromage was caught when police using Automatic Number Plate Recognition stopped him on the Princes Highway, Berry, at 4.25pm on August 26.
He gave a .123 reading.
Stephen John Buckley, 28, of The Park Drive, Sanctuary Point, was disqualified for nine months and fined $400 plus $1192 for being in an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
The P-plater was caught on Loralyn Avenue, Sanctuary Point at 6pm on November 24 with a .044 reading.
Rick Stuart Wales, 30, of Bolong Road, Bomaderry was disqualified for 16 months, fined $1400
and given a 12-month good behaviour bond.
Police spotted him speeding through a roundabout on Meroo Street, Bomaderry before stopping in Coomea Street at 10pm on October 19.
He tested .178 and told police
he couldn’t recall how much he
had drunk.
Laura Grace Whitbread, 25, of Page Avenue, North Nowra, was disqualified for six months and fined $1000.
Whitbread was spotted by police at 1.25am on November 24 driving well below the speed limit on the Princes Highway in Nowra.
She was stopped and breath tested with a .141 reading, telling police she had drunk four schooners at the Bridge Tavern between 7pm and 12.30am.
