Jarrets hat-trick not enough to stop Berry

Ulladulla Blues v Berry – Shoalhaven Heads:

A superb spell of bowling from Riley Jarrett (3/6), including a hat-trick, was not enough to stop Berry-Shoalhaven Heads claiming the points against Ulladulla United Blues at Burrill Lake.

Batting first, Ulladulla compiled a tidy 4/111 with runs evenly shared across the team. Ellis Carey (7), Riley Jarrett (7), Ben Ebzery (6) and Dal Hall (6) were the highest scorers. 

Wickets proved hard to come by for the visitors and Ben Lans was the pick of the Berry bowlers with (1/9) from his three overs, followed by Cooper Bramley (1/12) and Saxon Hilkemejer (1/17).

Berry got off to a shaky start when Jarrett claimed his hat-trick in the first over of the innings, all three wickets clean bowled. However the visitors fought back well and a 45-run partnership between Lans (23) and Angus Templeton (13) put Berry back into the game.

After Charlie Howard added 14 the match came down to a tense final over with Berry hanging on for victory with a final score of 11/113.

Jarrett finished with 3/6 from his three overs and also claimed two catches and was responsible for two run outs. He had good support from Reilly Hatwell (2/17) and Dal Hall (1/15).

Lewis boys lead the way

Nowra v North Nowra – Cambewarra Maroons:

The Lewis boys led the way in Nowra’s win over North Nowra – Cambewarra at Bomaderry Sports Oval. Jayden Lewis (16) top scored for Nowra, followed by Jacob Lewis (14) and Chantelle Downey 13 on the way to 10/104.

Best with the ball for North Nowra – Cambewarra were Aiden Woods (4/2), David Arcus 2/4 and 1/10.

North Nowra – Cambewarra came within eight points of Nowra’s total. David Arcus claimed the top score (22) followed by Lachlan Monk (15) and Tim Abbott (15).

Best bowlers for Nowra were Joshua Dawson (2/14), Jayden Lewis (1/14) and Lachlan Davies 1/6.

Smith wags tail: 

Ulladulla Golds v Batemans Bay:

Batemans Bay won its home ground match against Ulladulla Golds.

Batting last in the line-up Lachlan Smith (14) top scored for the home side. Hugh Tuckwell posted 11 and Lachlan Davernport hit a smart 10 as Batemans Bay set Ulladulla Golds a total of 84.

Darcy Hayter (2/8) led the Ulladulla bowling attack and was well supported by Kyle Gerrlings (1/18) and Cooper Jones (1/10).

In reply Golds opening batsman Isiah Lewis scored an innings high of 18 followed by Jay Ramsden (14) and Casey Dorrell (12). Ulladulla had Bay’s total in sight throughout their innings but in the end fell just 11 runs short of victory.

Seven Batemans Bay bowlers shared in wickets with Ryan Smith (2/4) the only player to take two wickets.

Ex-Servos total too much for Bomaderry

Bomaderry v Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemen:

Some big hitting by the Ex-Servos batting line-up helped them set an unobtainable total of 95 runs against Bomaderry at Lyrebird Park.

Bomaderry’s Luke Jones (19) led the way followed by Jackson Trost (17) and Lorcan Edwards (17). Ex-Servos finished their inning at 8/95.

Best with the ball for Bomaderry were Reilly Mathews (2/9); six other players all claimed one wicket each.

Bomaderry gave chase early in their inning with Kane Slator (11), Danny Ghetti (8), Reilly Mathews (7) and Jacob Batt (7) the highest scores.

Ex-Servos bowling cut through the Bomaderry tail and held them to 63 runs at stumps.

Best for the Ex-Servicemen attack were Kyden Booth (2/13, and Luke Jones (2/3).
