TWO HOLES IN ONE: Dave King (left) and Gordon Howes (right) both scored a hole in one on the same hole and the same day.
Over the holiday period the Shoalhaven Heads Golf Club witnessed a large amount of traffic through the course both in competitions and social play.
The last few days of competition have been memorable ones for three of the club’s members.
Dave Flavell recorded a hole in one on the par 3, sixth on Saturday. In the vets’ game on Thursday, Dave King and Gordon Howes both scored a hole in one within half an hour of each other on the new par 3, eighth hole.
This hole is one of the tougher ones on the course and measures 189 metres from the back tee, and 158 metres from the forward tee.
Both gentlemen used a three hybrid for their stroke of magic. It was Dave King’s third hole in one and Gordon Howes’ first.
This week the club has competition golf on Wednesday, open comp Thursday vets, and Saturday open comp. All competitions are single Stableford and open to men and women golfers.
