New owner is found for John Bull site

A NATIONAL company has purchased a prime piece of real estate at Bomaderry.

Strong interest was shown in the parcel of commercial land, which was home to the John Bull Centre that was destroyed by a huge fire in July 2011.

The property on the Princes Highway and Cambewarra Road covers almost 25,000 square metres (2.47 hectares) and is zoned 4b light industrial and has been purchased for close to $4 million.

It also includes parcels of lands leased to a nursery and the recently constructed KFC.

Clyde Poulton from the Professionals Clyde Poulton, which handled local inquiries, said there was strong interest in the site, which was previously owned by a Wollongong investor.

It is expected an announcement on what will be happening with the site will be made in coming weeks.
