GILMORE MP and Shoalhaven Mayor Joanna Gash has welcomed Thursday’s activation of the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA) in the Shoalhaven in response to the Deans Gap bushfire.
“The NDRRA offers immediate assistance to help primary producers, small business owners, local charities, and low income earners get back on their feet after disaster strikes,” Mrs Gash said.
Primarily funded by the Commonwealth, and co-ordinated by the state government, the scheme helps local communities get back on their feet.
For more information, residents can call the Disaster Welfare Assistance Line on 1800 018 444.
