THE first choice of evacuation centre for fire-affected residents is Sussex Inlet Bowling Club on St Georges Ave Sussex Inlet.
They are able to assist with housing for domestic pets but you must provide your own cages and supplies.
The club can accommodate up to 400 people. As a last resort the Sussex Inlet RSL on Jacobs Drive Sussex Inlet will be able to assist and is also happy to provide help with domestic pets.
The Nowra Showground is now open for all types of animals, and someone will be on site to register and assist with accommodating the animals, however, all supplies and cages need to be provided. Dogs will require leashes.
