A FIRE that closed Medlyn Avenue in Sussex Inlet on Friday afternoon is believed to have been deliberately lit.
Rural Fire Service crews were conducting a controlled burn in the area at the time and the fire occurred in bushland about 30 metres away.
A helicopter was brought in to assist and 50 acres of bushland was burned in total.
