Bike rider airlifted to Sydney

A 61-year-old man was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney following a motorbike accident on a property near Berry on Friday.

Ambulance paramedics were called to a rural property off Coolangatta Road at about 7am.

Ambulance paramedic Wayne Dunlop said two ambulances attended from Bomaderry.

“The rider had fallen from his trail bike after hitting a fence on the property,” he said.

“He suffered some facial injuries but the main concern was injuries to his spine.

“The rescue helicopter from Albion Park attended the scene and took the man in a stable condition to Royal North Shore.”
