AIRLIFTED: A woman was airlifted to a Sydney hospital following a crash on Illaroo Road, Wednesday.
A 28-year-old woman from Greenwell Point was flown to St George Hospital with internal injuries following a crash on Illaroo Road on Wednesday evening.
The woman was a passenger in a car being driven by a 23-year-old man from Denham in Western Australia.
He was driving a Nissan, 180SX east on Illaroo Road before losing control on a bend and hitting a tree near the intersection of Browns Mountain Road.
The car rolled and came to rest on its roof.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital.
The crash occurred at about 5.40pm, however the road was closed for a number of hours while the Southern Region Crash Investigation team worked through the scene.
