David Thorpe at Ray White Commercial said the property sold for $600,000 to a Sydney buyer.
The property at 22 Junction Street is set on more than 2500 square metres, bordered by the corners of Junction and Shoalhaven streets and Monaghan Avenue.
The two adjoining blocks sold to a separate local buyer for $405,000.
It is only the second time in its 107-year history that the six bedroom, three bathroom and one garage convent was sold.
Meanwhile, at the same auction in Berry one of the region’s most famous hotels, the Nerriga Pub failed to sell at auction.
Mr Thorpe said the business, which dates back to 1851, was passed in at $600,000 but negotiations were continuing and he hoped to have a sale secured soon.
