Ollie continues good start to new season

08 Feb, 2012 08:22 AM
NOWRA triathlon product Ollie Whistler has backed up his win at the recent Nowra triathlon with another victory at the iconic Hell of the West Triathlon in Goondiwindi.

Whistler showed good form beating Australia’s international ironman winner Tim Berkel.

He completed the 2km swim, 80km bike and 20km run in 3 hours 41 minutes, winning by 20 seconds.

These performances will certainly give him a great boost heading into the long course Elite Energy triathlon in Huskisson in two weeks time, where he’s up against the two best ironman athletes in the world, Craig Alexander and Pete Jacobs, who were first and second in the Hawaiian Ironman in 2011.
