Tynan’s off to the nationals
SHOALHAVEN gymnasts have shown they are among the best in NSW with strong performances at the State Championships.
Leading the way was 16-year-old Dominique Tynan who will compete against the best in Australia at the National titles in Perth next week.
Tynan placed fourth at the State championships, finishing second in her two favourite apparatus, beam and floor.
She was joined by 17-year-old Tom McKinnon, 23-year-old Andy Earle and 15-year-old Jack Flemons.
McKinnon finished sixth overall and placed second on the vault, Earle placed seventh and also finished second on the vault and was just outside the placings.
Tynan will head to Perth on Monday for the nationals where she will compete in the team final as well as in her individual apparatus.
