A HOST of top flight cyclists will line up in the Berry Alliance Strongbuilt Criteriums tomorrow.

The field will include national juniors, an Oceania champion and World and Australian Masters champions.

The 2009 junior under 19 Oceania individual time trial champion, Aaron Donnelly is one of the leading entries for the A grade race on North Street, Berry tomorrow afternoon, along with the Law brothers, Scott and Jackson.

All three are multiple national junior champions and all three have represented Australia in the World Junior Championships.

Other noted entries for the program include Danny Hennessy the World Masters Division 3 points race champion, Matt Carmellotti the Australian Masters Division 2 Road and Criterium champion along with Randwick Botany’s road sprinter Robert Cater and Macarthur’s Brodie Talbot who has been racing the national road series over the last two months of the 2009 season.

Along with Carmellotti other notable Nowra Velo entrants include Damian Mason (Australian Masters Division 2 individual time trial bronze medallist), Mark Fenner (new Nowra Velo Club road champion and silver medallist World Masters Games individual time trial), Greg Molony (Australian Masters Division 6 individual time trial and road race bronze medallist and World Masters Games bronze medallist) and former National time trial gold medallist Stuart May.

The program will start with a D grade event at 1pm and run for 25 minutes plus three laps of racing on a hotdog course on North Street.

This street will be closed to traffic for the afternoon to allow for the four events to be held.

C grade will follow at 1.45 pm over a similar time then B grade will kick off at 2.30pm and the Aces will race from 3.30pm for 40 minutes plus three laps.

This event is expected to finish at about 4.20pm.

Prizemoney for the afternoon of racing will be in the vicinity of $2500 plus vouchers and other prizes with Strongbuilt Constructions and the Shoalhaven City Council backing the races.

These events are the brainchild of the Berry Alliance who are the race promoters, while the Nowra Velo Club are race organisers and Cycling NSW are providing the leading officials.

To ensure safe racing North Street, between Prince Alfred Street and Kangaroo Valley Road will be closed to through traffic from 12.30pm to 5.30pm.

Barricades will be placed across North Street at Prince Alfred Street and between Edwards Street and Kangaroo Valley Road and approp-riately trained traffic controllers will man these barricades.
