WASH-OUT! - Rain ruins round of local cricket

08 Feb, 2010 08:40 AM
HEAVY rain over several days caused the abandonment on Saturday of all Shoalhaven District Cricket Association matches set down for turf wickets.

Round 12 will now be played under one-day conditions next week.

Among those bitterly disappointed that the weather intervened in what promised to be a season highlight was Ex-Servicemen’s captain, Daniel Gleeson.

His team was set to take on competition leader Bomaderry, and he made his own inspection of Hayden Drexel Oval on Saturday.
